The Great

I have lost another 2 pounds this week which means I am well on track to be shopping for small sized shorts in Walmart and Target come August. Ok maybe medium but I'm sure there will be some variation! Giving myself a pat on the back (pat, pat).
The Good

Having some sunshine has cheered me up a lot. It seems to have cheered a lot of people up everywhere. Unless you live here in the Uk you will be unaware of the awful summer we had last year. Summer was during spring and then the rest of the year seemed to be stuck on some dull, wet miserable cycle. Which is why I seem to be making a lot out of the weather at the moment (but maybe that's just us Brits!!)
The Hilarious

Last night (and one of the reasons I didn't post yesterday) my doubting husband decided to join the rest of us by creating a Wii Fit account. Perhaps it was one too many bottles of Kronenburg (they are on special at Asda at the moment and we have 10 cases in our garage) or maybe it was the "hi chubby cheeks" comment I made the other day, whatever, he has a Wii Mii now.
After setting up his details and doing his Wii Fit 'age' he embarked on what I could only describe as 'the funniest thing I have seen in ages'. Had I video'd it I could have shown you all.
A 46year old, rhythmn-less man trying to hoola hoop, has to be the best. The moves that man made with his hips are indescribable.
He then went on to 'Heading the ball'. Those of you who have a Wii Fit will know exactly what I mean when I say "the flying boots really knock you out!"
Doing the tightrope walk he could have taken off vertically the way he whisked his arms round and round trying to keep his balance.
Finally he made 22 attempts to beat Jordan in the ski slalom. Jordan is 15 and has done soome snowboarding & skiiing. Hubby has not. Talk about competitive. Finally he made the top spot, and celebrated as though he had won an olympic gold.
So once again, if you are considering buying one, please do so and laugh yourself silly at everyone else doing it - cos you can be sure they will all laugh at you too!

Your husband doing the Wii Fit would have made an excellent video for our entertainment. Too bad.
Congrats on the weigh in. Target is calling your name. Don't go to Walmart though...they suck.
We don't have a Wii of our own yet, but must tell you a funny story:
We borrowed our friends' Wii and my hubby and I were getting quite competitive bowling one night. The kids were sleeping and we were enjoying our "adult time". Well, before the game had begun we made sure to be good kids and use the wrist strap, and even did the ol' Boy Scouts "safety circle" (making sure we wouldn't hit each other). But half way through the game there was a huge CRASH! I ducked and plopped down on the couch. It turns out that Wii offers no warning message to make sure you don't swing your arm into a glass that's standing on the coffee table. :O)
I will do my best to catch him next time!
We have had a few close shaves too, although nothing like smashed glass. Maybe you should wait until you are older and more responsible Colleen?
Evan has posted 80p worth of loose change into the CD slot of our Wii. It no longer works.
Bugger
We got our wii fit on Saturday but due to being so ill, I've had 1 turn. Murray is a whizz at jogging. I'm the best at hula hooping and dh is getting right into yoga.
I've got to get Wii Fit! We bought the game a few weeks ago and I love it! BTW, the grand children are jealous! We got Guitar Hero, Mario Cart, Smash Brothers and American Idol! Love it!
Darn...I just went to go order it and it won't be released here in the US until May 21st! :(
