All is Calm

This morning I was first up (nothing new there) and despite it being overcast, it was still quite mild so I took my coffee and laptop outside and sat on my bench out in the back garden. I felt so continental!

We only put the bench there a couple of weeks ago so I haven't been able to do this before. I sat for a while listening to the birds and the water featue next door. (this is a great plus as you get all the benefits of ambience but without having to clean it out!) The two blue pots are planted with lavender.
Here is the result of my weekend project. The picture above is my herb corner. I have planted rosemary, parsley, chives, marjoram, two types of mint, thyme and I think Oregano - it's been there a while and I can't remember. There are also strawberries.
These are the newer additions, bought and plonked! Don;t ask me what they are, they just look nice!

The pots look great! I love planting things in pots as I can move them around to suit any whim.

One trouble I have though is to remember that they need watering to survive. I must have killed many plants in the past with sheer neglect! (I may love to garden but I am rather casual about some of the finer points of nurturing plants!)

Glad some places in the UK were nice. We had a dull day.

mrinz - I am like that too. If it wasn't having for having to hose down the patio where the dogs go, most of my garden would die in the summer!

I like pots too, but wish things didn't grow so I have to re-pot them.

Louise - It was ok, a bit of sea mist and a chilly breeze but still sunny mostly. Not as nice as yesterday though.
